High Commissioner of Bangladesh meets Prime Minister

GIS - 31 August, 2018: The High Commissioner of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of Mauritius, Ms Rezina Ahmed, paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister, Minister of Home Affairs, External Communications and National Development Unit and Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, yesterday at the New Treasury Building in Port Louis.
In a statement, Ms Rezina Ahmed underlined that it is her first meeting with the Prime Minister following her recent appointment as the High Commissioner of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of Mauritius. She highlighted that the meeting was cordial and she had a fruitful discussion with the Prime Minister as regards strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries.
She pointed out that the focus of the meeting was on the multiple projects which are underway for both parties. Issues relating to the double taxation agreement and direct air links were also discussed.
Ms Rezina Ahmed also informed the Prime Minister about the developments taking shape in Bangladesh. She seized the opportunity to invite the Prime Minister to Bangladesh in view of discussing new avenues of mutual interest.
